MYA

Our approach to movement-based rehabilitation

Evidence as the starting point, rigor as the method.

Why research

In health, good intentions are not enough. What matters is what can be demonstrated: what works, for whom, under which conditions, and with what degree of certainty.

MYA was born from this conviction. We do research because it is the only serious way to answer these questions.

How we work

Three rules of method

01

Start from the scientific literature

Every project begins with a rigorous analysis of what research has already established.

02

Work with health professionals

Their field experience shapes our questions and puts our work to the test.

03

Put digital tools at the service of method

Our digital tools stem from our research, never the other way around.

Our research themes

Therapeutic adherence

Why programs stop, and what helps people keep going over time.

Movement-based re-education and rehabilitation

What is movement-based re-education?

It covers all interventions that use dosed, personalized exercise to restore a function impaired by illness, injury or immobilization. It relies on an initial assessment, a program adjusted to the person's abilities, supervised progression and follow-up over time.

What is exercise training?

It is dosed, progressive aerobic and strength exercise that rebuilds exercise capacity after illness or a period of inactivity. Calibrated on an initial assessment, it is at the core of cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation.

What is adapted physical activity?

It is supervised physical activity tailored to the abilities, risks and needs of a person with a chronic disease. In France, it can be prescribed by the physician involved in the patient's care, a framework extended by law no. 2022-296 of March 2, 2022: this is exercise on prescription.

Why is the initial assessment essential?

Because exercise only works at the right dose. Assessing functional capacity, comorbidities and risk level sets the starting intensity and then measures progress. It is the foundation of any functional rehabilitation.

Are re-education and rehabilitation complementary?

Yes, they are often carried out together. Re-education restores a function (mobility, strength, balance, exercise capacity); rehabilitation helps the person bring these abilities back into daily and working life. Depending on the situation, one or the other takes more room, but movement is at the heart of both.

Who is involved in re-education and rehabilitation?

A multidisciplinary team: physicians, including physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, physical therapists, adapted physical activity instructors, occupational therapists and other professionals depending on the person's needs.

Our data commitments

Health data is among the most sensitive there is. We are committed to handling it with matching care: confidentiality, security, GDPR compliance and a strict legal framework applied to every piece of our work.
